I'm going to be moving to a new state later this summer (more on that next week), so I decided now was a good chance to take a stab at rebranding myself.
My primary goal was to make something a bit more illustrative/graphic than the current initials-style logo I have now. Taking that into account, I wanted the "M" to be clear to represent my first name. Additionally, I wanted the other element to represent moving forward (the blue point). As a complete logo, I wanted the mark to look like a graphic take on a mountain and the tip of a pencil as well (representing where I'll be headed and what I do, sort of). The colors are from my previous branding, which was something I wanted to keep. Hope that all makes sense!
I'll probably make a more relevant animation taking those themes into account later on, but for now I thought I'd just throw something simple together.
