I have just completed my first ever course on After Effects, so this is my first ever illustration animation and my first post on Dribbble. Wow, a lot of firsts for me today :D
What you see is a tweaked version of the final course animation, I added my own personal touches here and there. If you are interested in doing this course, go to https://motiondesign.school/products/fundamentals-course-on-after-effects. It's completely free, very easy to follow and a lot of fun to do.
Thank you, Motion Design School!
In my variation on the standard HEX clock, the clock face is an ellipse against an abstract animated background.
The principle: with a bit of JS, the six-digit time format can be converted into a HEX colour code. In standard HEX clocks, this code is assigned to the body's background, whose colour is updated constantly. The range of colours is limited to very dark shades, however, because of the corresponding HEX range.
