Mission Marketing Brand Exploration
A buddy of mine hit me up recently with an idea for a new marketing agency and wanted to see if I would be willing to help him visualize the brand.
It would be called Mission Marketing, an agency that grows your business and gives back to those in need.
I started this project by word mapping around both "mission" and "marketing". After writing out a ton of different words that were more or less related I landed on a few that began to give me ideas worth exploring. From "mission" I came up with 'Giving', 'Hope', 'Peace', 'Dove', and 'Lift'. From "marketing" I came up with 'Outreach', 'Growth', 'Upward', 'Rise', and 'Chart'.
As I sketched out visuals that came to mind when thinking about these words I arrived at this mark. An abstracted M who's parts are shaped like tips of feathers on a bird's outstretched wing, symbolizing peace, hope, and charity. The mark is also reminiscent of a bar graph trending upwards, signifying business growth, the ultimate goal of any marketing agency.
To come up with a color, I thought about the heart of Mission Marketing, which is to do good to others and give back to those in need. Obviously green is associated with money, and money is often the most straight-forward way of giving back, but the soul of Mission Marketing isn't simply calling for money to be passed down the line, it's calling for a brighter future where people in need might find restoration and peace in their lives. Realizing this immediately brought the image of "laying in green pastures" to mind. So, this specific green, along with the other primary brand colors, was sampled from a photo of a rich and vast pasture.
As always, feed back is welcome! Thanks for reading 😁
