iOS Tableview Interaction

A great mix becomes more than the sum of its tracks.
With this app, the goal was to create a better way to play sets of mixed music on iPhone. Right now, music apps are generally generally built around tracks, albums and playlists. However, lots of people—including myself—enjoy listening to sets of music that are typically 1–2 hours long. The best DJs build up a mix buy blending together the stems (different parts) of multiple tracks into a flowing body of music. The client wanted people to be able to listen to their mixes and dive into the setlist so they could see what music the DJ had used to make up the mix.
This was my first attempt at an iOS interaction a while ago. I used Hype 2, the HTML5-based answer to Flash from Tumult Software. The idea here was to add the player controls around the music that was chosen instead of sliding the view to the left. I think that there’s a balance to strike between doing something that someone might not expect—like completely changing the way a tableview functions—and experimenting with a new interactions.
Background: I’m going to try use my 24 shots each month to share what I’m working on. My hope is that I‘ll get more feedback on my ideas and that will help me improve them. If you have any thoughts or suggestions whatsoever, please do let me know in the comments. [6/288]

SpruceMail 2.0
Designed and developed a new marketing site for SpruceMail (www.sprucemail.com) awhile back and just getting around to posting a shot. It's growing at an extremely rapid pace and I believe it'll be one of the major players in the Facebook Advertising industry. Honored to be heading up design for their team.
It's responsive, includes a tour, blog, pricing, and careers section, some JS animation on the home page, and content is managed by Craft CMS (www.buildwithcraft.com).

360° Head Animation
I've been hooked by some YouTube Animations created by some of the most talented animators and decided to take a shot for some practice in my spare time. So this is a 360° rotation of my head by 8 frames with a repeating loop.
