Sketchy
I took one of @[5637:Zach Graham]’s beautiful illustrations and—with some direction from him—gave it a little animation.
It was fun discovering how to do this with SVG. Sadly, it seems you can’t get custom brush/strokes in SVG, so the strokes of the shape are actually themselves shapes, which isn’t super performant, and means that in order to get that “sketchy” feeling, you have to basically animate between three slightly differing layers.
I’m going to keep pushing this and see how performant you can make it before I explore JS canvas, etc.
Here’s the real deal. Works best in Chrome.
