Ice Bucket Challenge
I was nominated to do the ice bucket challenge and so decided to be a bit creative with mine alas not having to get wet. You can watch the whole video at my facebook page here - http://tinyurl.com/mw6fcf4. If you also wish to donate £3 to macmillan and live in the UK you can do so by texting ICE to 70550.

Cartoon Ball Bounce
Something I have seen a lot in reels sent to me recently is strange animated bouncing.
This very quick example illustrates how you cannot just create a path for the ball to bounce along and try to animate the velocity of the ball along that path.
You need to split the dimensions of the motion into X and Y axis. While the vertical Y supplies the 'bounce', the X should carry on or attenuate gradually.
I have included a file for reference.
NB. This is a cartoonish bounce. More natural feel can be created using a logarithmic attenuation.

Portfolio site update
IBM US Open Ace
We were tasked with visually representing key moments in the US Open tennis matches for the US Open Sessions website ( http://sessions.usopen.org ).
The goal was to keep it fun, and stylish but allow viewers to understand what's happening in the game. The site creates dynamic visuals and music from real-time match data that IBM logs from the US Open.
I creative directed & designed the ace moment as well as provided storyboards as to how I saw the motion of the moment unfold.
I relayed my ideas for motion & dev, and our team did an amazing job.
