We have just started to get into Quartz Composer / Origami to test some animation for our client work.
Overall we able to pick it up pretty easily so try it out! Even though there isn't that much documentation around - there are some good blogs and videos out there. And we plan on writing a tutorial about using this subtle parallax / blur / darken effect when scrolling which is a really common motion.

Working on some fun stuff @[406620:DSGNHAVN] ...this bit got put on the shelf for now. I had to sacrifice some of the texture quality for file size.
Up to 14,454 Layers now having added hard drives and RAM sticks. I also made a few layers have 3D look and have them extruded (old fashion way)
Element is now ready to be used :D definitely going to have to pre-render this element

This was super fun to make. "Agua Noche" or "Water Night" is a, massive, extreme, night with huge slip n' slides, and water games for the students of theSOURCE (Chapel Springs Church).
This was made in illustrator and animated in after effects. This is my first character animation (the fish) and I loved it. I want to explore this some more so stay tuned!

A little Snapchat improvement idea:
I was trying to point out some current Snapchat design fails I personally don't like and when I was playing around with the new background I just asked myself: What about to use phone's camera as app background? It can be turned on the whole time so I can just place the content on it for the other screens like conversations, contacts or settings.
There is just lower opacity and blur on it so if there is very bright background the content will be still visible. But personally every time I browse Snapchat I'm actually holding my phone in one hand and walking so the phone's camera is pointing to the ground.

Just finished the skill share class to get myself better acquainted with After Effects. This guy is simple but I'll get something more complex in on round 2.
