LG G5 Modular Animation

First animation in a series I created for LG to promote their new LG G5 phone.

LG wanted to show all the modular devices the G5 can switch to on the fly.

I leveraged their style which I'd like to describe as pretty "seizurey." *Epilepsy warning*

The series of 3 animations currently has over 2.1M loops on vine!

Hand-Lettered Logo

This logo was created for our annual company party, and is completely hand-illustrated. The party had a focus on fine art, so it only made sense to have the logo be a soulful, intricate piece of fine art itself. The logo was completed in a single session that lasted 7+ hours, and was documented via a GoPro timelapse.

Oblivion

I apologize for the not uploading an enlarged view but I couldn't get the file size small enough without sacrificing so much quality that it made the effect pointless.

I have put one up on google drive. Feel free to take a look.

Principle File 04: Circle To Square

Principle File 04: Circle To Square

Ever wonder how to turn a circle into a rectangle?

It's actually a lot easier than it sounds. In Principle, place your shape into a group, and set the group to clip sublayers. On tap, have the circle expand to pass beyond the rectangle bounds. Here you can change color or whatever else you want. Slide the bounding box up to center within the frame and there you have it!

Working file included for those who are curious.

#tGIF 05 - Microbes

#tGIF 5, in which microbes discover sentience for 1.52 seconds.

At under two seconds, this is the shortest GIF of the series so far, but it's also my favourite. Character animation is just so much fun!

Loading animation on oak.is

The new Oak website brings in updates from all 3 of our blogs (Oak, Dropmark, and Siteleaf) using RSS and combines them together on our homepage.

Loading happens on the front-end, so we developed this loading/text decryption effect to ease in the content. This effect is purely typographic using characters found in our typeface Input Mono, and animated with JavaScript.

Partially inspired by decrypt.js.
