Panda Security approached us to make an explainer video for their new advanced security solution, Panda Adaptive Defense 360. The brief was extremely complex and technical, and it was quite a challenge to express such complex processes in the minimalist language of the brand, and required a lot of design thinking and seemingly simple looking but quite complex animation. As usually, motion graphics was done by the talented @Zenzuke and Sound Design by the talented Woodcaveaudio

Too much thinking can make you fat!
The research team from Laval University in Canada found that although thinking hard and concentrating doesn’t require any extra calories, it does make people eat nearly 30% more calories than when just resting. Ouch! ;)

I was asked to make a tutorial on a walk cycle of a four legged animal, I have never tried to make a four legged walk cycle before so I figured I needed to learn myself before making the tutorial.

As it turns out the back legs are pretty difficult to animate so I started there. This will be a continued study until I have a fully animated horse, keep an eye out for the progression.

Continuing with my four legged walk cycle, I've now animated the front legs. Next I need to animate the head!

This will be a continued study until I have a fully animated horse, keep an eye out for the progression.

A small animation that was part of the same project I created the dragon/sword/heart stickers for you can find on my profile :-)

This was probably one of the more advanced animations I've created when it comes to animating characters. Could be better though, someday I'd love to remake this into something smoother. But for now, this'll do!

(The legs were a HUGE pain to animate, they took lots of video studies of horses trotting around :-) )
