Life insurance web service

It is really challenging to have the opportunity to create something non-standard, being able to use all the tactical UX features for such an old industry as insurance business. Check out more screens at Kultprosvet's website.

Still cleaning up some issues, but appreciate your feedback!

Does everything really need a title?

@[11867:Timothy J. Reynolds] tweeted last week about how the 3D world has focused its attention towards photorealism, and it struck me that was how I had spent most of my time.

I am a huge fan of his work and so I used it as an exercise to expand my skill set to more than just one arena for 3D renderings.

Shoe / sneaker shopping — design & animation concept

What started out as: "oh, I have this neat idea for a product card, let's see how it would actually look..." quickly became a full showcase interface.

The main idea was to explore how to give big and bold focus on products when shopping online. I tend to think that most shops don't give enough visual importance to their products —that's a very personal opinion— I wanted to explore using a card design that appeared to be a perfect fit for this type of approach. One thing lead to another and this interface came along quite nicely, ended up making a product details page as well. Then came the final touch, the addition of a few animated transitions —see gif here under— to really explore the potential of the layout..

The layout and animations could —with very little tweaking— work not only for shoes but for many types of products, perhaps i'll explore alternatives if time allows it.

Hope you'll like the approach

You can also see an HD version (12.5Mb) of the animation here: http://gabrielfaucon.com/work/cis.html

Jump / Switch Category

This is one of the things I always wanted in all the apps which makes me go back and forth to jump between sections. Hated it so designed my own solution.

What do you think?
I wish somebody makes it :)

dimetric 3D view test

Testing out a different approach from classic 3D isometric angle of view for an upcoming explainer video.
I wanted something really geometric and without any vanishing point, just like isometry. And it worked pretty well with the "dimetric" option in the Cinema4D's camera view's presets !

Braun RT20

Braun RT20, is my second work in the Illustration Series that I started recently.
Designed by Dieter Rams and Hans Gugelot in 1961, this industrial design marvel sports timeless pear wood veneer covered with graphite lacquered sheet steel. The finesse on this object is of legend. And, this device has been my wallpaper for quite sometime. :)

Funny part - I was almost done with the illustration and then I was like.. why not animate this thing? I've used Principle to animate this. I'm planning to write a tutorial on the same, soon.

I've attached the Sketch file as well as Principle prototype. Feel free to check them out and see how it was done.

(Creating a smooth lossless GIF, though, was a bit tricky. Checkout the video for a high res animation : http://f.cl.ly/items/1n2k1M3d2Q1S0N0b113o/Braun%20RT20%20-%20Video.mov)

Thought it would be fun to try out some particle effects for a modal. We'll see how it performs on older phones…
