Empty states play an important role in great UX, but they are often still quite static. They usually have plenty of space and need to compete with other content, so why not take advantage of that? Here is an animated empty state I designed for Jiffy (www.jiffy.nu). This is what the users see the first time they open the app.
Day two of working on my own UI elements, search boxes are interactive, so I wanted to show how the user would use them.

Here is my twist for the traditional menu icon. When you hover it it just spins around and when you click it it because a cross with a light rotation.

Been playing a lot of Limbo if you can't tell. First attempt at this parallax style and finding myself addicted to it already. Going to try some other scenes with much more details and character animation as well.
